Weekly Pay, Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Position Overview Our clients Analytical Development team is seeking a highly motivated and innovative Scientist to support the development of small molecule drug substances and drug products.
This contract opportunity offers hands-on involvement in analytical method development, technology innovation, and control strategy establishment within a dynamic pharmaceutical research environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in analytical and organic chemistry, along with practical laboratory experience developing chromatographic methods, particularly using Supercritical Fluid Chromatography (SFC).
Experience with HPLC/UPLC, LC-MS, and UV-based analytical techniques is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities Design, execute, document, and interpret laboratory experiments under managerial guidance.
Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot analytical methods utilizing SFC systems.
Perform sample testing and analysis using HPLC, UPLC, and SFC platforms coupled with UV and/or mass spectrometry detection.
Analyze experimental data and communicate findings through technical reports, protocols, and presentations.
Maintain accurate and compliant laboratory documentation following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in scientific meetings and seminars to support therapeutic small molecule development initiatives.
Contribute to analytical control strategy development and innovative technology implementation.
Required Qualifications MS or PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
Authorization to work in the United States.
Strong laboratory skills including solution preparation, pipetting, centrifugation, and general laboratory operations.
Hands-on experience operating HPLC/UHPLC systems, with direct experience in SFC instrumentation strongly preferred.
Understanding of liquid chromatography (LC) separation principles.
Proficiency in analytical data interpretation, documentation, reporting, and technical review.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated scientific curiosity, problem-solving ability, and eagerness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications Experience developing analytical methods within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
Familiarity with LC-MS applications and chromatographic method optimization.
Experience supporting small molecule drug development programs.
